Math:
This
week in math the students will continue to identify patterns in multiplication
and division facts using the multiplication table. They will solve two-step
word problems involving all four operations and assess the reasonableness of
solutions.
The students will multiply by multiples of 10 using the
place value chart and use place value strategies and the associative property n
× (m × 10) = (n × m) × 10 (where n and m are
less than 10) to multiply by multiples of 10.

Things to practice at home:
Continue practicing multiplication and division facts.
Practice adding and subtraction 2 and 3 digit numbers
Work on rounding numbers to nearest 10's and 100's.
Practice solving 2-step word problems using the four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).

science the students will discussed how light is reflected, refracted and
absorbed. They will learn about how
light travels and how light forms shadows.
